Dr. David was interviewed by Joshua Langlais from A Community Thread in 2018 for a publication. Check out Josh’s project. It’s an amazing movement!

Joshua asked Dr. David, “What concerns you the most about the world today?”

Tears welled up in his eyes.

“What concerns me the most about our world today is that 1 in 45 children are diagnosed with autism…1 in 45.”

What is our world going to look like in 20, 30 or 40 years from now? It does not just concern us, it scares us.

Autism is a deep disconnection within the brain.

The even scarier part, brain disconnection happens even more frequently on a more subtle level whether it be through lack of eye contact as a newborn, not hitting developmental milestones as a baby, being a clumsy child, the inability to focus in school, or anxiety in a teenager.

Why is this happening? What could be the cause?

It’s plain and simple. Our world is more stressful and toxic than ever before in the history of humankind.

However, the human race is advancing.

Athletes are running faster marathons. Humans are innovating the world through technology. Children are proving to be smarter than we ever thought possible.

At one end of the spectrum, 1 in 45 children have autism. On the other end, humankind is reaching higher potential.

How do we close the gap?
