“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.” ~ Albert Einstein

We are big proponents of allowing your children to have an abundance of unstructured play. Let them doodle without guidelines, to be curious, create experiences of wonder, and foster their imagination. This allowance will encourage their sacred gifts of their own creative light to emerge.

What Albert Einstein meant with the above quote was that our fast-paced society and academic culture create strong left-brain individuals that depend on structure, numbers, and routines. We have all been programmed to be told what to do, how to do it, and when to do it from a very early age.

Not so coincidentally, there is an epidemic of ADHD, ASD and OCD. All of these diagnoses have one thing in common – they are symptoms of a weak right-brain.It is no secret that our world needs more healing. More laughter. More play. More art. More creativity. Our children our the future.Allow them to play, wonder, create, and imagine. These simple yet profound activities allow them to strengthen (or restrengthen) their right-brain, leading them to shine as their truest self.

Maybe, just maybe, if we all adapt this principle we will create a society of creative, innovative, dreamers that re-imagine and re-build where we have fallen short.

Plant those seeds NOW and they will create a harvest for decades to come.
